DAY TRIPS & LOCAL EXPERIENCES ⛰️

  • Mount Baker Wilderness – Step into the splendor of the North Cascades mountain range with a 90-minute drive through evergreen forests to Artist Point where you will experience awe-inspiring views of Mount Baker and Mount Shuksan while breathing the freshest air you've ever experienced. Stop at Nooksack Falls on your way to the mountain to catch a glimpse of one of Whatcom County's natural gems. Make a pit stop in Glacier for coffee & pastries at Wake-n-Bakery or lunch at Chair 9 Pizza.

 

  • La Conner – Charming waterfront Skagit Valley town known for boutique shopping, art galleries, and relaxed boardwalk strolls.

 

 

  • San Juan Islands – An hour's drive to Anacortes takes you to ferries bound for the San Juan Islands, where guests can spend the day exploring island towns, beaches, and natural scenery.

SEASONAL EVENTS & EXCURSIONS

  • Whale Watching Tours – Guided excursions from Bellingham Bay to spot orcas, humpbacks, sea lions, and marine wildlife. Fairhaven. May-September

 

  • Skagit Valley Tulip Festival – A vibrant celebration of spring featuring acres of colorful tulip fields and display gardens throughout the Skagit Valley, including RoozenGaarde and Tulip Valley Farms. Consider adding a stop at Christianson's Nursery for charming greenhouse shopping, and pair your visit with lunch and a waterfront stroll in La Conner. 30 minute drive from Bellingham. Mount Vernon. April 1-30 annually.

  • Anacortes Arts Festival – Annual arts festival featuring juried artists, live music, food vendors, and waterfront charm. A quick 45 minute drive from Bellingham. Anacortes. First weekend of August.
